Love A Man was the first "band" track we recorded with Maury and Lyle on bass and drums. We started with me playing the guitar, but I wasn't quite getting the groove I wanted. Lynn took over and I focused on singing. Later, I recorded the second guitar part on the Hofner. I loved doing that.

Loved A Man
Words and music by Katherine Wheatley and James Gordon
I loved a man too much
To think about loving you right now
Each morning milk and sugar
Each night I'd leave his dinner out
I'm gonna pick myself up off your bed
Forget the pretty things you said
'Cause I don't want to let you in
I don't want my head to spin
My heart's going to need some time
This is going to take a lot
Everything I have got
Your heart's going to have to wait for mine
I loved a man too much
To think about loving like that again
Each day I'd do the dishes
Each night alone, I'd telephone a friend
I'm gonna pick myself up off your bed
Forget the pretty things you said
'Cause I don't want to let you in
I don't want my head to spin
My heart's going to need some time
This is going to take a lot
Everything I have got
Your heart's going to have to wait for mine
